The surrounding area is ideal for cycling and hiking tours, and the cycle paths around Bederkesa are very well developed. Bederkesa itself is a nice little town and is centrally located for excursions in the surrounding area.

Bad Bederkesa is in an idyllic location. There is a castle, a local museum (entrance fee is included in the package), a lake and a spa park. We visited all of these sights on the evening of our arrival. The landscape is perfect for hiking and cycling tours. A trip to nearby Cuxhaven is definitely worthwhile: wonderful beach, nice cafés, fresh sea air.
